God provides
“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”
Psalm 37:25 (KJV)
What does this mean?
David, speaking as an old man looking back over a long life, says he has never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread. This is his lifetime testimony, not a formula. It is the observation of a man who watched God provide across decades.
What does this teach us?
God's faithfulness is best seen over a lifetime, not in a single hard week. The righteous may struggle, but they are not abandoned — God provides, often in ways we only recognize looking back. This verse invites us to trust the God David watched for a lifetime.
How can we apply this?
Think back over your own life and name one time God provided when you did not see how it would happen. Write it down so you can return to it in the next hard season. And if you know someone struggling to make ends meet, be part of God's provision for them today.

Reflection
Looking back over your life, where have you seen God provide when you thought He would not?
Prayer
Father, You have never forsaken me, even when I could not see Your hand. Help me remember Your provision in the past so I can trust You in the present. Amen.
