Trust
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)
What does this mean?
Solomon draws a sharp line between two postures: trusting God wholeheartedly versus leaning on your own limited understanding of a situation.
What does this teach us?
Human understanding is real but incomplete. Wisdom means trusting God precisely in the places your own reasoning runs out.
How can we apply this?
Identify one decision you're currently trying to solve purely by overthinking it, and consciously hand the outcome to God instead.
